Interesting time saver....
Of course, I still prefer manually swapping out EVERY ICON AND FILE. Winterfree ftw?
I have too much free time....

Looks great! I'll probably buy it around the 15th when I get paid. Wish there were some more previews though.

Previews of what?

The app.

The permissions issue has been fixed as of version 1.0.1.

Re: IconHarvester (was: Automatic Icon Downloader)

Quick Questions:
Is it just me or does it have a problem theming the Messages, and Phone icons?

How does it find the link for the theme packages? Does it only scan the first post in the theme? Because I regularly combine the icons in CAROL and think those would be helpful to use in IH.

And as for the price, I think $5 is too much for the app as is. Now once you add some extra features (like the ability to pick and choose the icon for any app, regardless of if its labels not matching), then I can see charging $5. I dont mean to sound rude/mean, but it is just my two cents that the app isnt worth the price you are currently charging. I like the app (and I paid the $5), but I think you would actually make more money (by gaining more users) if you lowered the price

I do believe in Business Studies terms; it is an "Elastic Market" tongue The lower the price, the more sales you will get granting even more income cool

Yeh i think the idea is there but what about all the theme creators? They aren't being paid when this is downloaded, only you, yet their work is being downloaded? Seems unfair to me. And £5 aswell?! i can get iClassic and Safari Download Manager WITH change to boot smile_zipped smile_worried

If you want me and many other people to download, i seriously reccomend reducing the price > $0.99ish wink

Take it from me, i have an AS level A in Business Studies lol

Re: IconHarvester (was: Automatic Icon Downloader)

If you develope the app further and don't rest after two updates and if the community accepts your idea (iin order: rename every icon properly before posting - ImageShack posts good bye), then the $5 are absolutely OK. I haven't bought the app because I rather like to sort the mess by hand (for now).

• does your app download zip packages in threads
• can you delete icons by hand (thinking of collections of a themes icons that people post in a thread, they often rename several icon so you would end with the same icon but different names when using IconHarvester)

I think I'll buy your app in the near future anyway, because I'm curious, even if it'd have no use for me.

I'm with you on this one, I would personally not pay $5 for this app as is even if I was still using winterboard but if you are able to adapt this to a winterboardless setup I would gladly prob pay more than $5 for it.
If you happen to consider implementing something like this I would be glad to beta test it, I have no issues mucking up all the files in my iPod!

Re: IconHarvester (was: Automatic Icon Downloader)

NanoTech I Purchased it with high hopes, and to be frank it don’t seem much use t all. It cant seem to find any icons for suave and I know there is a s**t load, it finds a couple for the default apps but for all my other apps and games it produces nothing.

Why it holds the themes custom icons in a different location and not the default winterboard location is beyond me, would have made more sense, indexing the icons in the winterboards theme folder and keep the IH .archive file in there..

I even tried adding some icons to the IH theme icons folder from the suave thread myself to see if I could easily choose the ones I want for apps with IH it just says update and then dont find none of the ones I added.

Either I am stupid or this thing just don’t work as advertised. If this thing does not improve and work very soon I am going to have to ask for a refund.
