Probably one of the most underappreciated themes of the year, Kevin's SimpleX is colorful and easy on the eyes. While certainly not a super cool, futuristic metal creation, or a boundary pusher like his previous JetBlack, or the most complete package, SimpleX is nevertheless a pleasure to use.

Well. Now for something completely different. [fear]platinum strives for a totally foreign look to your Mac, and tries to make it devoid completely of color. It's ultimate goal: look like a black and white horror film from years ago. Does it pull it off?

BBX Mercury X

Max's BBX: Mercury X is a "remix" of Bill Bart's original BBX Mercury for Kaleidoscope. And the difference between a "remix" and a "port" is pretty huge. Max's own version of the classic skin brings all the best elements to OS X, with perhaps even more polish, thanks to nifty OS X innovations such as drop shadows and animated buttons.
