MacThemes Previews Digital Device
Joe Kohlmann came out of nowhere a few months ago, asking for help and advice for his first theme, Digital Device. Since then, his project and skills have matured to produce a totally unique theme that defies what Aqua was meant to be, and turns your mac into an old school, monochrome LCD display, similar to the iPod interface. Even more surprisingly, Joe succeeds in innovating with consistency and style. In this Insider edition, MacThemes takes a sneak peak at the upcoming theme, and interviews Joe about his experiences creating his first theme. Digital Device is planned for release on February 2nd, in time for for Unsanity/OWC Theme Contest deadline.

GarageBand Previewed
On January 6th, Steve Jobs announced the newest addition to iLife: GarageBand, a music recording and creation application for pros and consumers alike. GarageBand is currently available for $50 at the Apple store included in iLife '04 bundle.
For the first part of this Insider feature, MacThemes interviews Kevin Husted of Swizcore Studio about his planned OS X theme based on Apple's upcoming GarageBand application, his previous experiences porting Apple's pro interfaces, and his overall thoughts about the interface.
