Information: This is a revival of the william morris Arts and Crafts movement. WIth the new world of textures the old art of textile design has a new importance. I wanted to give an comfortable home-like feel to the shelves and make people feel at comfortable in their library.
Short Biography: I am a designer in my 4th year of studies at York University in Toronto. I am very interested in the art of icon design and theming. This is my first real theme but I have been watching for a while. I hope to create many more themes in future. I see the practice of theme as the "new typography" and am excited to be part of the movement.

I really love this one. It's very nicely drawn, and the the colors are nice. Great job, it's one of my favorites.

Quite rockin, that wallpaper is the best ever. It would be perfect with some more shadows under the shelf and slightly desaturated wood.

Indeed, one of the best. Nice textures and use of colors. I also like the cherry-wood of the shelves. I agree with David on the shadows. Thumbs up for this one.

Yes I'm very comfortable. It's like a sunday afternoon and I want to smoke my pipe, with a cold refreshing drink and do nothing all day.

I really like this one. I also admire William Morris

Another fave. A little busy in real use, and a darker shadow undneath might have made the shelf seem more anchored, less "floating."

I really love this design, it is very well done. I can't seem to use it for an extended period of time though...the background is just too busy.

Not bad, but I have to agree with wayland04 about the background I'm afraid.

I like the detail in the shelves, but the wallpaper is a bit too bright for me.

Most excellent! Fits like a glove.
When will you be publishing the wallpaper in a few other colors? ;)

I have taken all these suggestions and made a new version. They are good ideas and that is the value of a creative commons. Thanks a lot guys. I don't know where to put the new version but send me an email and I will send it to you so you can give me more input.

I have to say that this is my favorite so far. very nicely repeating pattern- decorative without being gaudy. Fits in with the look of the rest of the program nicely. I probably wouldn't use it all the time, but it might be nice to set off a specific library from you main library (a collection of rare objects maybe?)
