This is a pretty good idea that unfortunately doesn't quite work due to the darkness of the shelves. Especially on LCD screens, it very easily becomes totally black if the screen is tilted slightly. Try upping the contrast.

Black is good, but this may be a bit too black... some subtle track lighting would be cool to see.

I agree with the comments above. A bit too dark to see the either the wooden surface or the gloss. While i was able to see it on my LCD it was just a dark mass on my CRT. Too bad for this good idea.

Wow, this looks a lot darker in the preview than it does in my library. I agree with the comments here. Oh well, it was still fun to make.
