Panel Starts Voting
The other half of the entries' scores will be coming from our 10 panelists. Adam Betts, Jan Van Boghout, Steve Streza, and myself from the staff, Harlan Lewis, Joe Kohlmann, Bill Bart, Max Rudberg, and Kevin Husted as themers, and Jason Harris as our software developer representative will be voting on each entry out of 10 points. For those interested in getting a rough idea of how this will work, you can download this Excel spreadsheet. User ratings will be updated at the end of the voting period when I calculate final scores.

Just so nobody gets too shocked by opening up the spreadsheet and see NickelCobalt and ProLCD with perfect 100 ratings, remember that the user vote has been curved before being combined with the panel vote. It's safe to say that a lot of those themes will climb, and a lot of others will fall, during the panel vote.
In my own personal rankings, only 3 of the user-voted top 6 held onto their top 6 status once my score was added in, with a 4th actually tied in 6th place (it's a popular one though so I'm guessing it will finish higher).
Anyway, here's to the other panelists. I hope all your picks are the same as mine ;).

I guess this is the final "Good Luck."
So i wish you all luck.. i cant wait to try em out.
Remember if yours doesn't get picked doesn't mean you shouldn't try making them. There are plenty of people out here that would offer guidance.
Good Luck!...

As printed above, I too also wish everyone good luck. This was a difficult contest with great competition. Thanks staff at MacThemes for making such an awesome contest (with awesome prizes)!!!

All I can say to the panelists is the same thing that was said to the general voters: "Your user votes will affect each mockup's score tremendously, as that portion will count as 50% of an entry's final score. ... A score of 10 should represent that you believe an entry belongs in the top 6 winners. A score of 1 should represent that you believe the entry is the worst an entry could be. Please do not abuse this system to attempt to sway the score."
In other words, panelists, we, the contestants will hold you to the same criteria that you hold us--make sure that you vote fairly and don't abuse the system and give a good design low marks just to boost another design's chances of winning or in other ways skew the outcome.
Panelists, we the contestants count on you to vote fairly, and the perceived success of this event rests on your shoulders.
Thanks again for all your hard work, and good luck with your most important task.

Bravo Paul, I doubt any of the panelists would try to sway the results, but well said.

Yeah, just always better to say it beforehand! This is just kind of a knocking on wood exercise, so to speak. :)
